Professional Philosophy
"My approach to education and consulting is rooted in the belief that knowledge is most transformative when it is both deeply researched and dynamically shared. With a PhD in Indigenous Studies from Trent University and over 25 years of experience as a professional performer and educator, I bridge the gaps between rigorous academic inquiry, traditional Indigenous Knowledge transfer, and the art of 'Storyweaving.'
Whether I am addressing systemic anti-Indigenous racism in academia or exploring the intersections of geological science and land-based learning, my goal is to facilitate traditional Indigenous knowledge with embodied, engaging energy. I work collaboratively with organizations to create 'brave spaces' where complex histories can be unraveled and new narratives can be woven together for a resilient future."
